Named because of the limestone and granite rocks and boulders that cover the landscape, Texas Hill Country is a unique and beautiful area of South Central Texas. The distinctive vegetation in the area adds to its beauty, making it a perfect location for a wedding.
Ruby Ranch Lodge
Ruby Ranch Lodge in Buda, Texas is made up of acres that stretch as far as the eye can see in any direction. Originally a hunting lodge, the land has been preserved in one way or another since the 1950s. It is a beautiful space for either indoor or outdoor weddings. The Ranch offers all-inclusive packages that make planning a wedding in Texas Hill Country worry free. For one reasonable rate, the staff at Ruby Ranch provides dressing rooms for the wedding party, an event room, sound system and setup, wedding décor and setup, and up to 150 tables and chairs. The Salt Lick
The Salt Lick BBQ is a well-known locale for weddings in Texas Hill Country. Here, couples can design a ceremony that is specific to their desires for the perfect wedding day. Salk Lick has seven distinct venues including Thurman’s Mansion, Pecan Grove, Salt Lick Cellars, and Breezeway. Each venue offers couples unique experiences for both ceremony and reception.
One of the best parts of a wedding at The Salt Lick BBQ is…the FOOD! Receptions catered by the Salt Lick are full of delicious appetizers, barbequed entrees, and mouthwatering desserts.
Smythwick Castle and Lodge
For a wedding straight out of a storybook, couples in Texas Hill Country invariably choose Smythwick Castle and Lodge. A fairytale gazebo, waterfalls and stone courtyards and peacocks roaming the grounds create an unreal backdrop for a memorable wedding. There are chandeliers and oversized fireplaces round out the one-of-a-kind venue just west of Austin, Texas.
Smythwick has at least three packages for couples to consider, depending on how much they want the venue to take care of. For example, if the bride wishes, she can have hair and makeup done on-site, and Smythwick Castle caterers even make simple wedding cakes.
Memory Lane Event Center
Memory Lane Event Center consists of two distinctly different venues. Memory Lane is the original venue at this location, but equally beautiful La Hacienda has been added more recently.
Memory Lane is a scenic vista atop a hill covered with majestic oak trees. The ceremony site is made of stone and cedar, taking nothing away from the scenery surrounding the site. Up to 250 guests can be accommodated at Memory Lane.
La Hacienda, as its name suggests, is a Spanish-inspired event center. Stucco walls and Spanish-tile roofs create the old world charm that persuades couples to choose this venue. La Hacienda accommodates fewer guests than Memory Lane – only 150 – but this is the perfect amount for many couples. There is both an indoor and outdoor ceremony venue.
