Cypress Grill offers up a little bit of everything. Simple appetizers like bruschetta and hummus will get things going, then an array of salads, sandwiches, burgers, and paninis will make your decision a hard one. Of course, you can’t go wrong with the daily specials, which have been carefully crafted since the restaurant’s opening in 2006. Let the knowledgeable staff or the chef recommend a wine perfectly suited to your meal, and enjoy the beautiful view. The atmosphere is classy and elegant, but kids are welcome, too, making Cypress Grill right for just about any meal.
When we claim that there’s something good to eat any time of day, we aren’t kidding. Mary’s Tacos is open for breakfast and lunch. While the rest of us may think tacos for breakfast sounds a little strange, locals flock to this place. It’s a simple concept kind of place where customers walk in and order, then watch their food being made right before their eyes from the freshest ingredients, nothing pre-prepared. Mary’s Tacos is an affordable yet delicious choice, open every day of the week. The menu contains an unforgettable carne guisada and any combinations of meats, cheeses, eggs and potatoes to satisfy everyone’s taste buds.
The Creek Restaurant gets its name from the nearby Cibolo Creek, the body of water that first persuaded Hill Country settlers to set up camp. The Creek Restaurant is near Main Street Bridge if guests would like to take a relaxing walk before or after dining. The menu isn’t incredibly long, but there’s menu items you’d be surprised to find, like ceviche, kobe burgers and frutti di mare, mixed with traditional favorites like rib eye steak and fettucine alfredo. Visitors can try something brand new here, or stick with an old favorite, Creek style. A light and airy indoor dining room and a wide patio make dining inside or outside a delight at The Creek Restaurant.
Little Gretel is a restaurant like none other in Texas Hill Country. Authentic Czech food, combined with American and German influences, is served at Little Gretel daily. Most of the recipes used in this kitchen have been handed down for decades – some even longer – so that now Boerne residents and visitors can experience family recipes of the Czech Republic. Bratwurst, pretzels, fries and – of course – beer are available in the newly added, more casual biergarten area. The restaurant and chef alike have won awards both for good business and delicious food. There is a private room for parties, and there’s always something special going on: brunch on Sunday, music every weekend and happy hour Wednesday through Saturday.
